First, Richard and I had a long wait at Marseille Airport. It wasn’t too onerous, as it was a fine warm afternoon, and the airport café had some nice cold draught beer. When the tour bus eventually arrived, we were introduced to Dominique, the tour manager, who directed us through the city centre into a warren of narrow one-way streets to the gig. The venue for this gig was at Le Poste A Galene, which was eventually found along a very narrow back street. For a while, it seemed as if the gig wasn’t going ahead, but the problems got sorted, and it turned out to be a good one.
